WINN Rural New Graduate Nurse Residency Program

Mentor Training

Mentoring is a Deliberate, Developmental Relationship

Mentoring is "a 1:1 reciprocal relationship between a more experienced and knowledgeable faculty member [nurse] and a less experienced one as characterized by regular, consistent interaction over a period of time to facilitate protege development."  Haggard, et. al. (2011)

This series offers fundamental skills for clinicians interested in inspiring, guiding and supporting new graduate nurses.
