Mentoring is a Deliberate, Developmental Relationship
Mentoring is "a 1:1 reciprocal relationship between a more experienced and knowledgeable faculty member [nurse] and a less experienced one as characterized by regular, consistent interaction over a period of time to facilitate protege development." Haggard, et. al. (2011)
This series offers fundamental skills for clinicians interested in inspiring, guiding and supporting new graduate nurses.

Summer 2024 - July 10th (7:30am - 9:30am MT); July 17th and 24th from 7:30am-9:00am MT

Please note this Mentor Training Series will be held in a virtual setting via Zoom.
Clinical professionals (e.g., RN, ADN, BSN, APRN, etc.) with an interest in mentorship are encouraged to participate.
Series-Level Learning Objectives
Identify the important role of mentors in nursing
Develop resiliency and healthy boundaries practices
Implement effective communication and conflict resolution strategies
Recognize the power of questions in mentoring relationships
Discuss the impact of cultivating a growth mindset
