The Refresher course offers rolling admissions with a cohort design. Each cohort will begin the 2nd Tuesday of the calendar month following your registration. Payments for the cohort will come out of your selected payment method on the 1st of the month.
***Payments will be processed at midnight UTC. For example: April 1st payments will process at 5:00 pm MT on March 31st.
Clinicals are not required for this course. There is no final exam. A certificate of completion is awarded and submitted to the Board of Nursing on your behalf.
Colorado Center for Nursing Excellence is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Colorado Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

You will have 6 months from when you receive your logins to finish the course.
Online Programs Used:
- Moodle: The course is designed using case-based learning where actual case scenarios are used to develop critical thinking in the learner. There are four theoretical modules that can be accessed online (you will be provided login information and instructions).
- Evolve: The Evolve Website will be used as a tool to teach various scenarios. These include HESI PN Case Studies: critical thinking exercises in adult health (all systems),
medical-surgical review of systems, procedures and treatment, mathematical practice, acid-base and electrolytes, infection control and wound care, and psychiatric fundamentals, procedures, disorders, and treatment.
